DCP (Crime) Rajesh Deo told reporters that during interrogation, Gurjar revealed he took primary membership of AAP in 2019.

“The images of Gurjar joining AAP in the presence of senior leaders were retrieved from his mobile phone,” Deo said.
Angry over the ongoing stir against the citizenship law in Shaheen Bagh, Gurjar had last week reached the protest site and opened fire with a countrymade weapon, leading to chaos in the area.
In a video that went viral, Gurjar could be seen chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram‘ and saying, “hamare desh me aur kisi ki nahi chalegi, sirf Hindu ki chalegi (only Hindus shall have a say in our country, no one else).”
